Todd Feiertag has coined the term fleabay and how right he is. Unless you have the model like Bruce's where you are going to put items on with .99 cent starting prices, then few on ebay are going to play with you. Last week I put a six sheet for THE MAN THAT SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE on ebay, with a $299.00 opening bid. Over forty people were watching, but there were two bidders - one man who e-mailed me and wanted me to sell the poster to him for $200 (I said, No, Thank You) and a dealer, Norm Lazarson, who has demonstrated over the years that he understands the movie poster market. Norm ended up buying the poster for $325.00 and I am pleased that IF the poster is going to sell below what I think is a real market price, that it went to someone like Norm. Norm will probably end up making
another $500 from it, and he should.

I regret that ebay has seen fit, in their penny wise and pound foolish manner, to obscure the buyers' bidding identities. They actually have dampened bidding when they did this, as I used to bid more just to get my movieart*austin*tx*usa ebay user id out in front of people. Now, unless
you are bidding under $200, people can only see who won.

IF I had started the MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE six sheet at 99 cents, perhaps I would have
sold the poster for more, I don't know.

I only now how I am prepared to bid and sell when using fleabay.
