Maybe it is because LOTS of U.S. collectors were away over the past four days (the Thanksgiving holiday), or maybe it is some other reason (I offended bidders because I did not consider No Country For Old Men an instant classic?) but I just looked at our current 599 window cards, French & Italian one-panels on eBay, which end November 27th, starting around 7 PM CST, AND THE PRICES ARE REALLY INSANELY LOW!
With less than 24 hours to go, there are still around 150 items at NINETY NINE CENTS EACH! There are around 250 under $5 each, and around 499 under $15 each! And most of the 200 that are over $15 each are pretty insanely low, compared to prices you might expect to see that at on dealers' websites (it is little wonder more and more savvy dealers have been turning up as buyers in our auctions, for they know that each week there are lots of great buys made, even on the most expensive items, and many dealers simply buy those real bargains from us and put the very same item on their site for double or more, and often it is sold within days!). This is likely my strongest ever auction of these three sizes, and it really has a surprising number of REALLY desirable titles and LOTS of them are potentially going to sell for just 99 cents each, so you really NEED to check them out! You KNOW that if these posters were in one of those "big city" auctions, they would have sky high estimates, reserves, and ludicrous "buyers premiums" (creating a guaranteed "pay a high price or you can't win" result), but these posters are being sold from tiny West Plains MO, and there are NO reserves, NO buyers premiums, and there surely WILL be a lot of really good "deals" and probably a few real "steals"! When you look at our items on eBay, you do not see an image of the item until you open the auction, which is very time consuming (we don't use their "gallery" image, both because it is absurdly overpriced and because the gallery image is too tiny to see any details). So instead, we have our own Tuesday Auction Gallery and our Thursday Auction Gallery, both of which have much larger images of each item, so that you can determine if an item interests you BEFORE you click on it, thus making your surfing time far more productive. PLUS these galleries are searchable by star, director, genre, year, or anything you want to search for! Once you discover our galleries we would be amazed if you go back to looking at our items directly on eBay. The prices in our galleries update every 5 minutes, so the price under each item can only be up to 5 minutes old. Generally, this is no big deal, EXCEPT if you are looking at items as they are closing, then we recommend you bid on the actual eBay page (which is easily accessed from our gallery pages). But because so many of our bidders now use our gallery, on rare occasions it has overwhelmed our server, and some of our bidders have not been able to access it, especially right when the auctions are closing.
