Living in Germany, buying and selling through Movie Collector's World
(and through Bruce's catalogs back then) was always a nuisance.
By the time I got MCW, most of the real deals were already gone.
I still remember, at some point Bruce came up with a 'starting time'
for his sales lists, so that everybody would have an equal chance of
buying something.
Still, once I got through the best stuff was usually gone.
It was a completely different market back then.
Late 90s, more and more people started to tell me about this GREAT
place online, where you could sell ANYTHING and for GREAT prices.
And it was true, like so many other dealers I sold TONS of material
in the early days and I was making a lot of money, both on quality
and low-key material.
In those days, my sell-through rate on eBay must have been somewhere
around 90%.
Those were the days...
