Since I run a shop, I need to accept credit cards.
As far as international sales go, the vast majority of orders is paid
with Paypal these days.
For many years I had a US bank account. I closed it last year, since
NOBODY is paying me by check or money order anymore.

As many of you know, most EBAY business occurs through Paypal in the
current selling environment. For years, I've had a merchant account
with Visa/Mastercard through my bank which is Wells Fargo. I've found
that I am doing very little with this merchant account as almost all
transactions go through Paypal now. I still have very high monthly
base rates even though I rarely use the merchant account. Do other
poster dealers on MOPO think it might be wise to close the merchant
account at this point in time? Does anyone see drawbacks to this? I'd
like to know peoples opinions on this matter to help me make a
decision.
