For the first time in 3 or 4 years eBay ought to be commended. They show the shipping charges on the search pages to the right of current bid amount. With that info so visible, unless you can't add, I don't see what difference it makes if it is $10 or $40 s&h. It's like a buyer's premium, if you don't what to factor that into your bid limits then you just don't get to buy items from Heritage or large auction houses. Now the person has listed the item for awhile, the serious smart bidders have factored in that $40 charge. If he reduces it now they might not notice the revision since it would not be anticipated to change. As a seller, what I hate are bidders after winning say they want free shipping or to go out of the way to save them 50 cents using a different shipping method that takes me an extra half hour to do. Even though that seller charge is excessive at $40, it is stated, and he is offering express shipping. I don't see why the fuss, like I said, unless addition is a problem. Ebay will go after them if it gets extremely out of line, only because their final value fees are reduced.
