We recycle/reuse tubes all the time. its the right thing to do it saves money we will double up the weaker cardboard tubes to reuse them, sometimes triple. even the smaller yazoo tubes can get crushed so we stopped using them by themselves. Our test is that if you can stand on it and it doesn't buckle, then it is o.k. to ship. also, the more beat up a tube looks on the outside, the more likely it will be left alone by customs agents or snoopy people working for the usps or ups. the absolute BEST tubes? we buy in bulk pvc coex drainage pipe from home depot. A 3" diameter 10 foot pipe costs about $6.00 delivered so each shipping tube costs us about $1.50. Much, much better than any cardboard tube.....even the thicker yazoo tubes.
