However let me explain, My family is from BERMUDA and that was governed by the british and so my mom would send me cards and it said esq.. I thought it was a british thing and kinda cool so I thought oh I must be a esquire.... well I guess from the british sense I am however it does say that you shoulnt refer to oneself as esquire. However as far as Etquette, I submit that making fun of someone on the list is also the same, howevere I can see how someone that is proud of thier profeession of being a attorney may be offended. I was not aware that In the USA they only call attys esq. I stand corrected.that aside, here my feeling for 2008 and MOPO. I believe we have all been through a period since 2001 of catastrophes that have changed many of us in numerous ways bot spiritual and mentally. To Jeff Im In TOLEDO and No dont take medicaation, or drink, smoke and anything.. am I disturbed mentally? Like others I find it hard to believe noone is untouched by our current society and culture.. In my case my medicine has been to try to see Humor in all this and yet also try to do positive things to help people around me.. as MOPOERS know is that I had many setbacks in my business life and personal life since like 1990 and because of many people on MOPO I was befriended and many days were softened by the care and concern... Since 2006 Ive not posted much as a flurry of events have happened that I thought even mopers wouldnt believe , also I felt a new outlook as for years I was wallowing in self pity and only in past few months Ive seen that its a group situation ,, that 99% of mankind is suffering in ways that make my experiance comical.. same with the business of collectables itself or commerce.. But I will share some recent events in my Life in case you all need to laugh.. because I dont min d if it helps you find some humor,, because i have goofy stuff down to a science.... OK if you remember I lost my building in a divorce... and my ex said she would sell it back and then kicked me out,., so.... I moved 30 years of memeorabilia at pennies on the dollar to dealers and the like.. and stored in a warehous boxes that were not labeled so i couldnt find any material! . then I rented a luxery apartment and operated from a garage in the apartment fo 2007 this was amazeing as I made my products in a luxery apartment garage.. the neighbors couldnt believe it..! well then my lease was up in July 2007 and i had no idea where to go or what i was doing. So what did the genius do... yep BOUGHT A HOUSE... if anyone could have picked a better day to buy a house it was me.. I got the great suprime loan overpaid by I think 50K and got 8.5 interest, If that wasnt enough I like everyone was suffering sluggish sales and still couldnt list my stuff because I was froze in fear... so I was driving in my old van 1989 areostar when my phone rang.... who was it? Gov. Arnold Swatzenneggers office and in Aug I received a large order for the border Govenors conferance.. It was a great order and paid my bills and gave me a headstart.. Allso i was so impressed after the job they sent me a pix of Arnold holding the clapper I made for him.. I looked in a book and saw that he had a poor childhood , and his career showed me a man that overcame many hurdles in life like im sure we all do .. and people make fun of his dialect and such.. But to me hes a real rold model for fitness and how we can do things if we hang in there,, so I tip my hat to him...Thanks! and then after that I received a order from a group that helps drug addicts.. they use my product to teach kids self esteem and overcoming bullys.. well I like that.. The other hurdle i have had to overcome was feelings of Love and unrequited Love.. Of all my trials this has been the hardest,, for 8 years I waited for a woman I thought was my only... well in April 2007 I drove in the rain to Montreal 13 hours only to get there and see she had no interest in me... her and her boyfriend said stay but I couldnt bear the rejection so I decided to turn around and drive back another 13 hours in the rain home 1,444,00 in the rain. NOT FUN! so I understand heartbreak and loss and being unsure , afraid, depressed, and wondering if a god exsisits..... OK,,, so after the Arnold gig.. I had some hope maybe i could make it.... I went to a friends shop who was loseing his building by foreclosure, and was planning to cut some of my sticks on his tablesaw.. he was worried where he was going to move next,,,, btw I was tring to save 25.00 by useing the saw.. well I said well did you ask God for help?? and proceeded to go saw the sticks,,, well I made a mistake and cut four of my left hand fingers and my middle one almost to the bone... so now i was out of commission like all November.. and I couldnt work..... besides fighting depression and heartbreak I also needed to come up with housepaymenst , and all else.. Its at that time it dawned on me that we all are suffering and that nobody owes me anything, and it is such a gift to be able to do anything... and so all my past started to melt ,, all the people i blamed, all the suffering became teachings.. or I went over theedge..:) Its funny tradgedy is strange and it seems to be a wake up call to the soul. That why when we have disaters we all pull together and it wakes up people.. At the same time I see how some people need to be brought to utter chaos and despsir before they understand and become humbled. So maybe its just me but the day i realized that even the best laid plans could crumble was when i stated to laugh and see thatmuch of the things we think we control are in utter chaos.. So...hears what I am trying to do... its basically the golden rule mixed with boy scouts honor.... in Business I attempt to be fair, honest, do a good job, and treat people as I would like to be treated. In friendship.. I still am a work in progress as I could do beter and i tend to be crital and hurt peoples feeling not intentionally so I neeed work in that area.. also I have attemptedd to control anger as i see it as a bad trait unless im unscrewing lug nuts on a tire then getting mad is a good thing... as far as LOVE ive decided get a female friend 1stthen go from there. and maybe it was a blessing as dateing can be expensive! As for health.. I am almost a vegatarian and have really enjoyed eating better and will start a training program at the Gym soon.. I went before and I believe diet and excercise would help many reduce stress... I am beomeing a minimalist as far as collections go and have assited local friends to downsize and destuff thier lives, I think that collecting has affected many peoples lives in a negative way as it was a symtom of deeper issues. Hording and not letting go is a debillateing problem that my entire family suffered.. I would take a broken item place in trash.. and it would come back...My recent experiances taught me that the memories in my heart could never ne erased only the physical things which are all tempoary anyway.. so the most important things are truly family and friends.. so sure I want to make my costs and eat.. But it would be cool to contrubute positive stuff to help others and inspire othere not to lose hope... However I struggle each day with selfish urges and the like. so its my hopes that this will inspire others to talk posters and Movie stuff because the industry is so rich with history, films can inspire so many.. its the medium that pulls all the arts together in the best communicative elements in the visuals , audio and the script... ive been saddened that more filmmakers have not found the way to express ideas that could both entertain and inspire in the picture.. although many have and perhaps are and will soon...Other than that I hope all Mopers can have a wonderful year 2008 and I plan to keep om selling on ebay and build my business and offer plenty of good deals ! thanks for listening .
