Is it because everyone was off work yesterday? Is it because of the recent
weakness in the stock market?

I don't have a clue, but I DO know that there are LOTS of really cool lobby
cards ending today that are selling for just a buck or two each, and there
are lots of excellent ones (ones I would expect to see on a dealer's website
for $50, $100 or more) for just $10 or $20 each!

Remember that these cards will really all have new homes come later tonight
(no games where the consignors buy back their own items or worse yet, the
auction house buys back their own consignments)!

LAST WEEK, WE SOLD AN EXCELLENT COLLECTION OF 800 SINGLE LOBBY CARDS, AND
THERE WERE MANY BARGAINS, EVEN ON SOME GREAT CARDS! Fully 10% of the cards
sold for under $5 each (and these were not "lesser" cards, but included a
lot of solid titles that would sell for $20 or $40 from almost any dealer!).
Not only that, but 178 cards sold for under $10 each, and 381 cards in total
sold for under $20 each, and they really did sell (as we said above, there
are other auctions that PRETEND to sell like we do, but the low-priced items
are actually often "bought back" by the consignors or the auction
themselves). Many of you receiving this e-mail likely were the buyers of
some of these great bargains (either this time or in our previous lobby card
auctions). Even though this current auction contains tons of great cards, it
is likely that there will once again be lots of great buys, but you can't
get those buys if you don't bid!

WE CURRENTLY HAVE 927 REALLY SENSATIONAL AUCTIONS (including an incredible
collection of W.C. Fields and Laurel & Hardy cards and 151 title lobby
cards!) CLOSING TODAY, January 22nd!

On January 15th, we added 927 great lobby cards (including an incredible

below, or go see them right now (with large thumbnails and links to these on
eBay for easy bidding) in our Tuesday Auction Gallery!

there is an incredible W.C. FIELDS/LAUREL & HARDY COLLECTION (these are

collection of 16 title cards and 19 scene cards, all of which feature the
wonderful Maureen O'Hara! Included among these cards are many extremely rare
titles, such as They Met in Argentina, Immortal Sergeant, and others, plus
some of her very most popular titles, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame,
The Quiet Man, and Dance Girl Dance!

We really could go on listing 100 or more additional GREAT titles, but we
would assume that you want to see the images! But know that this is a
really remarkable collection of lobby cards!

Not only that, but 178 cards sold for under $10 each, and 381 cards in total
sold for under $20 each, and they really did sell (there are other auctions
that PRETEND to sell like we do, but the low-priced items are actually often
"bought back" by the consignors or the auction themselves). Many of you
receiving this e-mail likely were the buyers of some of these great bargains
(either this time or in our previous lobby card auctions). Even though this
current auction contains tons of great cards, it is likely that there will
once again be lots of great buys, but you can't get those buys if you don't
bid!
REMEMBER THAT, IN BOTH OF OUR WEEKLY AUCTIONS (unlike some other sellers of
vintage movie paper), EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR ITEMS TRULY START AT 99 CENTS
WITH NO RESERVE ON ANY ITEM! AND WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE SUPER-INFLATED
SHIPPING AND CRAZY "BUYERS PREMIUMS" YOU SEE IN OTHER MAJOR AUCTIONS! In OUR
auctions, you can purchase up to FIFTEEN 99 cent items and your total cost
is $14.85, plus a very reasonable $9 U.S. shipping charge (we only charge a
flat five dollar U.S. shipping on all of the stills, no matter how many you
get!). AND WE WILL LET YOU COMBINE PURCHASES FROM BOTH TUESDAY AND THURSDAY
INTO A SINGLE PACKAGE (whenever possible), THUS SAVING YOU EVEN MORE!

Remember that YOU can't get the great deals that happen week after week in
our auctions if you aren't bidding! AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE! If you
place a bunch of fairly low bids but only get one or two items, then you are
sure to be happy, for you will have gotten some really good deals. Even if
you place a bunch of bids and get nothing at all, you will only be out a
little of your time, and no more.

Do you know about our Tuesday and Thursday Auction Galleries? One of the
worst kept "secrets" in the movie poster hobby is that it is FAR easier to
look at our items through our Tuesday Auction Gallery (
http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php) and our Thursday
Auction Gallery
(http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/thursdayauctions.php). When you
look at our items on eBay, you do not see an image of the item
until you open the auction, which is very time consuming (we don't use their
"gallery" image, both because it is absurdly overpriced and because the
gallery image is too tiny to see any details). So instead, we have our own
Tuesday Auction Gallery and our Thursday Auction Gallery, both of which have
much larger images of each item, so that you can determine if an item
interests you BEFORE you click on it, thus making your surfing time far more
productive. PLUS these galleries are searchable by star, director, genre,
year, or anything you want to search for! Once you discover our galleries we
would be amazed if you go back to looking at our items directly on eBay.
Good luck on whatever you may bid on in our current auctions ending TODAY
January 22nd!
Be sure to check out our 927 TUESDAY ITEMS on eBay (on our "
emovieposter.com" account) sometime BEFORE they end Tuesday, January 22nd,
beginning around 7 PM CST and also be sure to check out our 451 THURSDAY
items on eBay (on our "movieposter" account) sometime BEFORE they end
Thursday January 24th, beginning around 7 PM CST (either by going to
http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php for our Tuesday
items or by going to
http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/thursdayauctions.php for our Thursday
items, or by using the link from our HOME page,
http://www.emovieposter.comor by finding us by our eBay user ID,
emovieposter.com). We feel certain that if you purchase even one of them and
then once you see how honestly we describe them and how we charge only the
actual shipping cost and how we send them right out promptly and
well-packed, that you will declare your independence from those auction
houses with the outrageous buyers premiums, the over-graded items, the
misleading images that obscure defects, and the outrageous shipping! Good
luck on whatever you may bid on.
