some thoughts--

1. wow

2. i purchased a poster once from doug, after he responded to a MOPO ad i
placed about 10 years ago. he was toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
honest!!!! he would not finalize the sale until he sent me close-up scans
via mail
to show me defects. i still have those images in a folder.

3. i am sure everyone would love to pick and choose from the batch. while
doug is a different kind of collector, i think of people who might collect
lesser expensive stuff over a lifetime, such as all roy rogers titles, then
they are separated to ebay buyers throughtout the USA after the person dies.
(((i suspect doug is a lot younger))) similar to people amassing any
collection (coins, stamps, etc.) A lifetime of collecting.....then individual
dispersement.

4. most people, like me....collect certain stuff. i have no interest in
the early stuff, or the 60s. i hate the 70s, 80s, 90s.............. but i'd
sure love some of those 40s, 50s.

5. i get the impression that doug is smart enough and wont be scammed by
anyone.... I HOPE NOT. so many will offer him so many things. Even
small-time collectors like me are are the target of a scammer....i have
certainly been
a target BUT been lucky. I once had an couple come to my house, and to this
day i smirk about that day.

Any auction house would love those posters.......and doug clearly get
exactly the value (less comm). That would be true value per........... But
similarly, a complete set of lobbies goes for more than individual pieces.

6. i wonder how a million was computed?????? how much was that ebay
listing?????

7. 70+ high price frames..................the cost in that...wow!

8. wow

i am sure we will see a lot of posts...........

8. doug has always maintained a nice web page. i said more than once that
he stuff was toooooooooo nice not to be framed and displayed.
