Maybe the numbers of people who look at sheet music are much higher
than movie posters. Movie posters are very specialized. As much as
the hobby has grown, it really hasn't grown enough. 15 years ago,
when Sothebys and Christies were having their first auctions there
was a sense in the collecting community that movie posters were
about to go BIG TIME. The hobby has grown, but I don't think
it has lived up to many expectations from that time.
I bet if you could peek at ebay's master "traffic counter"
you would see that there are many collectibles that draw
far more lookers.
This is just my hunch, not something which I know for a fact.
