As most of you know, I will be starting my first auctions on my own site
tonight, and leaving eBay completely in just a few weeks.
I can't escape the feeling I am escaping the looney bin just in the nick of
time! Today they announced that sellers on eBay.au can ONLY take PayPal, and
I am certain if they get away with this it will come to the U.S. next. ALL
the recent changes to the site have been awful! Best Match doesn't work at
all, not letting sellers leave feedback will make them hostages of scammers,
and on and on.
I looked at ALL the memorabilia items (high to low) and it seems like there
are hardly any sellers left who want to deal with eBay. Once you take away
Matt's insanely over-priced items, there are next to no quality items there.
I don't know about eBay as a whole, but it sure seems like they are losing
the entire collectibles market (and what is weird to me, they seem to not
only not care, but they are actively driving it away).
