well we can find flaes in almost all films... But this one was nice in
the fact that It was a good picture in many ways... and it was a picture
that was a family film... and good old Fun... and sure there were some
parts where one might say what were they thinking there,,, well but
heres the truly funny part....
the film has many real things in it that are true.... yep.. the whole
Mind telepathy was and is true.. they use
futurists and I forget the name But they use telepathy to spot where
people are and the government has sponcered it for years,, and also..
the whole alien thing.... If you read and watch all the UFO and reports
from the government and all its been said that for years they were
reverse engineering the devises..
there was crytal skulls found in peru... and there was a plot by Germany
to get religous relics as they thought they had powers.. Like they had
the spear that pierced Christ.. there was a book on the Nazi war
relics.... and it had that,,,, so waht Spielberg has done is show us
some very deep connections that appear whimsical in the format he did..
but are really centered on many facts and research... hes expeosed to
SETI and Friedman and many many facts that common folk think is
fables... But as they say TRUTH is stranger than FICTION/// Its just
that when you hear a smart college proffesor explain quantum physics or
I like to talk about what if i suggessted we string wires from house to
house all over the world... Most would consider YOU NUTS... thats
because creative people use whats known as the THIRD eye...
its like they can IMagine the possibilitie outside the box of normal
comprehension... thats why they invent or create... its like they get
tapped into the what could be logic... In that and Einstein touched on that
as does Phsisit Leiberman in his Book the GOD particle.. is that we are
able to be in diferant spaces
and dimentions and that ties in neaatly with Heaven and life and future
eternity... and thats why this space thing and aliens and mental enegy
of positive vs Bad all makes scientific sense in a peculier way.
However when someone like spielberg trie to even touch on it... it
comes off as unbelievable and trite.
at the same time I think as a filmmaker he uses formulas that cause
adrenilin like Bugs , snakes, fear of heights and all that.. which is
just good old showmanship... Its a movie meant to bring some excitement
and fun and scares and laughs.. thats all... and it was presented in a
manner that also touched on some actual facts as strange as they may
appear... even Jurrassic park almost wrote the book on the DNA reseach
that is happening as they did find tissue of froze mammoths,, remember
the HG well stuff was concisered sci fi too yet artificial intellegence
is almost here as the asnimov ROBOT from Honda is showing....

Me too. Honestly I didn't think this even deserved to be included in
the Indiana Jones canon. Temple of Doom blew this one away.
I don't care if this thing is going to make thee hundred million
bones. The original trilogy should have been kept holy by using one
of Indy's favorite lines: "They all belong in a museum!" They should
have been left alone. Now we have to allow this fourth film to taint
the brilliance of the first three.
SPOILERS BELOW!
Ok, first thing, which is also the WORST thing. Aliens. Come on
Steven, couldn't think of anything else up to Indy's standards of
archaeology?
Second thing. What the heck was up with Mac (Ray Winstone's
character)? First he's a good guy, one of Indy's best mates. Well,
nope, he's a bad guy. Then, oh wait a minute, he's really a good guy
again. Whoops, fooled you again, he's really, really a bad guy. Then
he dies. Should have made that last item first. What a joke.
Third. Harrison had none of the gusto he once had. Blame it on his
age, but he was trying to make it look easy, and instead made it look
hard. His lines were delivered with none of the flair of the previous
films. The physicality of the first three films were part of what
made Indy Indy. Period. This movie didn't have it. You could almost
pick out his stunt double, because they used him about a hundred times.
Fourth. Shia Lebeouf. What was his role exactly? Apart from being
named "Mutt", and who's character is a mutt with no real pedigree. Is
this the guy that's supposed to pick up Indy's hat at the end and be
our new friendly neighborhood archaeologist? I'll pass thank you very
much.
Fifth thing that should have put as number two: Indy survives a
nuclear blast by hiding in a refrigerator. What!?!? Was this an
attempt at a gritty Jason Bourne 'do what it takes to survive' moment?
Lastly. How about a coherent script. First it's a warehouse raid,
then a nuke going off, then back to school, throw in Jim Broadbent to
replace Denholm Elliot (RIP), then Indy gets fired, meets up with the
son he never knew he had, finds a rickity, insane John Hurt, throw in
a chase with cars and a mutant army of man-eating red ants, which
culminates in a crystal skull that is really an alien, who finally
meets up with (sorry, "Returns" to) his six buddies who then fly their
spaceship back to Mars.
Wish I would have saved my seven bucks, and imagined a movie far
better than this grab for a little extra franchise payout. Had to
rinse out the aftertaste of this one.
