well I like to go to garage sales, estate sales and flea markets as it
makes me feel like Indiana jones,, I get to be active and meet people
and find stuff..
My new thing is " catch and release" in which i find stuff mostly for
oters or if its cool Ill sell on ebay
and sponcer my fun...
Today i went to a estae sale In a mansion in Ottawa hills .. Toledos
elite rich area...
In this house i found books on Running and Business startegys.. all 1.00
each...
then I Found two vinyl record albums and one was the Phillip Glas
koyaanisquatsi - soundtrack like new ... that film was very
emotionally stressfull to watch...my son and I sa it..
Plus I found a stanley Clarke album//
Then some friends came over that are Movie producers.. and Ive been
asked to help rasise money for horror films// so Ive been reading the
prospectus and all the films they have done..
They did wishmaster for Wes Craven, and worked on the Evil deal Raimi
films and just did boogey man 2 for raimins Ghost house pictures...
They are back in OHI attempting to do low budget features in the Horror
film genre My friend is a actor, producer and stunt cooridinator and Ive
know him years... he also does large haunted house attractions..
Gary Jones < Robert Kurtzman and jeff Millar are the filmmakers...
So after I read this Ill see about what aspect I may be of help in..the
movie biz is so fickle and yet I like the idea
that they make low budget product and they learned this From Raimi as
thats how he and jackson and Rodriguiz all seem to work now days......
its a interesting business.. now with digital and many venues for
sales... they are in a great part of country to make movies.. Ohio has
lower costs then LA and NYC
and a broad talent pool in a 600 mile radius..
the facility they bought in crestline OHIO is a converted bowling alley
that looks like a Hollywood sounstage and has all the goodies to make
films... the company is also in LA and was known as KNB special effects
and did Dusk till dawn giving Tarentino one of his first hits and breaks...
well.... Crestline ohio is near columbus and the parent company is
www.precinct13entertainment.com...
they have a wide amount of experiance// I would ove to hear feedback on
what people think of the genre and films..
best, Tomato of Toledo
