This is Bruce Hershenson. I am sending this brief e-mail to MoPo because last night, our website's hard drive failed from approximately 9 PM CST on 6/2 until approximately 9 AM CST on 6/3. The hard drive has since been replaced, and much of our site is now functional, but there are a few problems that are yet to be corrected (but none relating to our auctions). While we have been fixing some of the problems today, our site has had some short additional periods of being unavailable.
We will do no further work to the website until well after our current auctions close, so as to greatly minimize the chance of any additional outages. However, there certainly is a possibility of an additional outage, so you likely want to bear that in mind if you are planning on bidding on any of the items that close tonight, and it may well make sense to bid sooner rather than later. We know that many people like to bid at the last second, but there is some added reason that there might be a problem with that tonight due to the problems with our server, and I don't want to hear any complaints tomorrow if you are unable to bid at the last second! I don't know if the site outage has had an effect on me bidding, but, at the present time, many of the posters closing tonight are at really affordable prices, and some are downright steals! You can view them all in our gallery at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/1.html. Finally, the website outage last night caused one additional problem. All e-mails sent to us during the above times of the outage almost certainly did not reach us, and need to be re-sent to us (if you have any doubts about whether we received an e-mail from you, it is better to be safe and re-send it). We very much apologize for this inconvenience, and will do whatever is necessary to correct any problems that occurred during this downtime. We appreciate your understanding of this problem, and know that it is something that all websites encounter from time to time!
