Unlike the list put out by the Movie Poster Channel, I think the AFI
list was supposedly limited to US films. But then they included A
Clockwork Orange, which I think is considered to be a British film.
So, I'm not really sure what their rules are.

Thanks, always a good laugh,
I might agree with 3 of them.
But a SF list without METROPOLIS aint no SF list as far as this SF
freak is concerned.
There is a couple there I wouldnt list in the top 100 SF films.
But hey I am fussy.

PS- cant wait to read the horror one

I think Roger Kim was onto something when he issued his
"greatest sci-fi movies list" last week. Tonight
the AFI released its "top 10 in the top 10 genres"
list on CBS. In the sci-fi genre:
1. 2001: A Space Odyssey
2. Star Wars
3. E.T.
4. A Clockwork Orange
5. The Day the Earth Stood Still
6. Blade Runner
7. Alien
8. Terminator 2
9. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956 version)
10. Back to the Future
You can see all the so-called "winners in other
genres" at:
