Mopoers,
This really stinks, but I had to go to a local city hall meeting,
because my city is considering enacting all these regulations
limiting our ability to cut down trees. This is having the opposite
effect intended, because everyone is worried about the regulations,
so they are proactively cutting down their trees. Anyway, my point is
that I went to this meeting and forgot to bid on the Boston Blackie
poster in Bruce's auction. This real life issue INTERFERED with my
poster hoarding. This is unacceptable and WRONG. I hope that this
sort of thing does not happen again.
OK, while I'm here, let me say something off topic.
In the category of Non-Bargains...
A rare concert ticket stub from a 1975 Alice Cooper concert is now up
for auction on f**y. At least I think it's from an Alice Cooper
concert. The stub is torn, and the remaining portion just says
"ALICE ...PER". The starting bid is $20. The description opens with
the word "WOW." The stub is permanently encased in plastic for its
protection.
You'd think the seller would realize that the economy stinks and that
people are not going to pay $20 for 1.5 inches of torn paper. Most
people won't pay $20 to see an actual concert.
