now it is used as a road to higher tax revenues from big business as
opposed to small business
that was how the area where the World Trade Center was erected was
cleared out. They closed down some 1000 stores in teh mid 60s to make
way for that project

down places of business without a reason, whether they be "mom n
pop" stores or other... we may be a lot of things here but we are

I noticed the Sabin Gray's Backlot Books down the street seems to
have closed as well.
I stopped by today and it looked as though they were in the process
of cleaning it out. I know there was a fire on the block not long
ago. I don't know if the two were related.
