Hi Dave,

Sorry that it took a few days to respond to this. We have been swamped.

We have been extremely pleased with orders from Library of Congress, the
Academy, New York Library of the Performing Arts, 4 European Film
Institutes, and numerous universities, for example.

The book is primarily used to help identify unknown production stills. In
this edition we have approx. 22,000 production codes for the following
studios: 20th Century Fox (including Fox Film), AIP, Columbia, Grand
National, MGM (including Goldwyn, Metro Goldwyn, and MGM specialty.. but not
Metro yet), Monogram, Paramount (back to pre-Paramount in 1912) PRC,
Republic (both types) RKO, Universal and Warner Brothers. We have also
included a brief history of each studio, the process and use of production
stills during production, as well as numeric and alphabetical indexes to
help narrow down which studio it is from.

Sue did a screen capture from a couple of the logs. Each log is different
depending on the studio records. Here is the sample: Production

Hey Ed!!

Nice job with this. Can you give us some sample pages of the book so we can
see what a couple pages look like? Maybe you can scan a page or two and put
a link on your website and then direct us to it? May help sales!

Thanks!

Subject: [MOPO] announcement for those who handle production stills

Greetings,

If this is inappropriate or in the wrong place, please let me know.

We wanted to let dealers and collectors who handle stills know that our new
2008 Edition of US Movie Studio Production Codes book with 22,000 production
codes to help identify unknown production stills is NOW AVAILABLE!

We spearheaded this research last year as a one time project but we have
received so many great reviews that we have decided to continue to expand
and document production numbers. With so much documentation needed in this
area, and such great response, we are making this into an annual
publication.

For those who have the first edition from last year, in a couple of weeks we
will also have the 2007 supplement available and will be contacting you
individually.
