I just took a few minutes to review the Heritage results from yesterday, and
I think it is really unfair to single out the DTESS 3 sheet at under $9k as
if that was in any way representative of the results.

What I saw from my review is that there likely was far too many similar
items offered. In the days when Heritage had countless multi-millionaire
bidders with bottomless pockets, they could offer just about every top
horror/sci-fi one-sheet in one day, and there were spirited buyers on every
one. But now, it appears either the number of such bidders is way down, or
the amounts they spend is way down, so maybe in retrospect it would be
better to offer a lesser number of such major items at one item (given
current economic conditions).

It also looks to my eye like the bidders were drawn to the many cool items
they had either never seen before or would likely not see again for many
years, and were turned off from the items that are in auction after auction
after auction (DTESS 3 sheet, Forbidden Planet 1 sheet, Godzilla 1 sheet,
etc, etc).

But I thought that given the massive number of items, the results
were mostly quite good on the top several hundred items(assuming the high
bidders pay for their purchases eventually), although it is clear there were
hundreds of excellent buys (assuming the condition of the items that went
low were as they were stated).

I would think that the Heritage people whould overall be happy with their
results, given what is going on in the world.
