As a buyer, free shipping would be an incentive to me. I've been stung too many times by sellers who advertise a fixed rate of $6 or so and when the item arrives, the actual shipping charge was $1.65. Of course this excludes the former eBay seller Bruce Hershenson who always seemed to lose money on shipments to me.
