I have dealt whit him many times, I've actually been to his place and checked
out all his awesome original posters. I bought a bunch of stuff off of him and
I indeed got a few of the fake "minty white" inserts. This was a long time ago
and he did not inform me that they were fakes. Luckily I only got a couple of
them, but he did charge me a lot of money. As customers/ buyers started to
become more aware of the "Minty White" scam tloceposters (Tom Loce) got
harangued over and over about this. He laid low for a bit. After I learned of
my mistake, I went back to his place and informed him about the fakes. He was
pretty determined to say they were originals, but I knew they were not and so
did many other people. I talked him into selling some posters for cheap, like
an original Friday 13th part 1 mint original for $20 and a Green Slime advanced
for $50 mint. All in all, I was duped and bought the fakes when I was not
educated on them about 10 years ago. I'll bump into him once in a while and
bust on him about the fakes, I'll never buy another insert from him again and
I'll always double check and will not buy anything from him unless I go over to
his place to see it, unless I know 100% it is original. The last poster I
bought off of him was a Shockwaves OS. Good condition and original. The only
posters that I do have that I got from him that I am realy not sure if it could
be a fake is a 1 million years BC Welch OS. Does anybody know if there are any
fakes of this poster. It looks original, but when I bought it it was mint/
white and very nice. Not sure.
