Hello Mopo. The artist i rep Ted Mclaren will soon be in a Scottsdale
Arizonia Gallery
He will also be at the new York art expos at Javitts center NYC at end
of Month. He doesnt have a Booth
However we are looking to get a Publisher and or other Galleries to sell
his art,
his site www.mclarenautoart.com
The Nada just did a nice article in Thie trade mag for auto dealers.
MOVIE POSTER artist's - So when I looked at who was going to be at the
art show in NYC a name
came up. Chris Dellorco ( www.Chrisdellorcofineart.com) Chris is
fantastic and has done many Movie posters, and did many of the disney
covers for the videos.. like Lion King etc...
So I called Chris whos in LA and we taleked about that fact that No
studios except Lucasfilm and a few
use Poster artists as its all photoshop these days.
So my thought was do people like Old school art and painting ?? I
personally think yes.. because people like the passion and tactile
ambiance of texture , paint and canvas.
SO I know that Drew Struzan and Hilldebrandts and a few have done
limited editions.. Howevere whats the feeling of mopers about selling
art of these Poster artists? I would like to see Posters and art availible
on a scale like was done back when the star wars d style was
re-released and the signed Drew art,
Chris is a Friend Of Drew's .. I also envision manyof the other poster
artists releaseing some either
new paintings of older titles or new creations.. Bringing the heritage
forward would create a new rennaisance of Poster appreciation. and with
Giclees the rage Costs would be minimal for upstart.
anyone aggree and want to make it happen? just wondering...
so many people have contributed to the art of Movie.. why let it fade to
black now?
makes no sense to me
