It's sad when people die and it's sadder when people get to old to do the job
they've been doing forever. doesn't mean they deserve an Oscar before they
die or after their dead. When I saw THE DARK KNIGHT I was disappointed with
the whole look of the picture. Not for even a second did I believe that
Gotham was anything but Chicago. If you put Heath Ledger in a Joel
Schumacher vision of "Gotham" his performance would double in a surreal
reality. And Jerry Lewis deserved that award years ago. To devote almost
half your life to a charity and never give up, not to mention give my pre-cable
childhood many fond film memories and I got to stay up all night once a year.
