Hi, Kirby, et. al., from Joe B in NOLA

I'm pretty certain I saw this as a kid in the good, ole' Strand Theater in
Vicksburg, MS (still there in the same building as the Antique Shop location
sequence in 2007's "Borat").

As the Strand's admission for under-12-yr-olds at the time was ten cents
($0.10), I figure I could have seen the Strand's program including the First
Chapter of this serial ('53 RR) a total of 17,500 times for the current price
of the RR poster!

And I'll bet the original release poster ($5200) is now worth more than was
spent to make the picture (LOL!!)

Joe

This is the 1953 reissue of the 1944 serial CAPTAIN AMERICA. Large format
paper on either the original
release or the '53 reissue is scarce. This poster is destined for the new
MovieArt website, but we offer it here
to MOPO and Movie Poster Forum members for $1750.00. Great graphics.

The Kisch guide reported that a three sheet (original) sold for $5200 at one
time. I believe that was probably
with Bruce.

Anyway, I've never seen this, and although it's reissue, it hardly
makes any difference in it's cool factor.
