However I can understand how many can vote Barry Lyndon as his worst film. I have always felt it was a slow and plodding film and fairly parochial, but my real feeling (like others) is that Ryan O'Neal was the wrong actor for this film and I don't understand Kubrick's casting of him for the role that said, do you folks remember that Kubrick had a Razzie nomination as worst director for the Shining?? what were those guys smokin? anyway, here is the real question.. is Barry Lyndon a better film than 80% of all films ever produced. or 70% the answer is "yes" I have always felt that the fact that Kubrick only really left us 12 movies (like Bruce.. tough to include his pre-Killer's Kiss films) is a major loss to cineastes but of those 12 films, 9 are on the IMDB's list of 250 best films..
