** Just wanted to alert buyers on these boards about a transaction completed
today between three MoPo members that turned out great. Recently I posted a
rare (for me) WANT ad for a Jaws half-sheet. For several hours afterward, my
e-mail system went down and blocked mail from random addresses. So I missed a
lot of mail for who knows why.
** The next day, I was trading notes off-line with Kirby McDaniel and he
alerted me that Todd Feiertag had what I was looking for and was offering 10%
off to MoPo members on his entire stock. (I had NO idea.) Cut to the chase,
Todd and I closed the deal -- his poster arrived today in rock-hard packaging
-- and I just opened it up tonight and it's awesome!
** Anticipating its arrival, I purchased a half-sheet frame with UV-plexi from
our beloved Sue Heim. It arrived packed fabulously as usual; her shipping
boxes are so strong yet so lightweight that I look like Charles Atlas carrying
them into our house with one hand.
** This was my first "around-the-continent" transaction between three MoPo
members helping me out. Had it not been for Kirby, who had no stake in the
sale -- I would have missed Todd's sale completely. Todd's stuff is always
fantastic and you can trust his grading and packing skills. And Sue's frames,
well you already know how affordable her high-grade stuff is. (Her
craftsmanship so good -- even her so-called "economy frames" are "high-grade"
to me.)
** In sum, I know that in some circles, to be thanked by me can be a mixed bag
-- but I don't care, I thank you all anyway! Best, David in San Diego.
