You had four for WIZARD OF OZ. I can think of at least four for GONE
WITH THE WIND, but I got up to eight on CASABLANCA then went to the IMDb page
and started collecting more.

Can't think of another film that
breaks into double digits without a sweat.

I think CASABLANCA is still hands
down the most quotable film, with two at least solid candidates for most
recognizable line.

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain
There's no place like home
I'll get you missy, and your little dog too
Follow the yellow brick road

Wizard Of Oz is my choice, so far.

perhaps, the poll question should be revamped......

which FILM has the most recognizable lines.

YOUNG and OLD. that is, when you say the line, you know immediately the

THE ORIGINAL POST APPEARS BELOW:

     yabba, dabba, doo

What line
from a film, STANDING ALONE, is the most recognizable AND KNOWN FROM THE FILM
IT WAS SAID?

consider:

I am shocked to learn that there is gambling......

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.

There is no place like home.

It was beauty that killed the beast.

While most people on MOPO are film buffs and know tons of dialogue, this new
poll question seeks to find the MOST RECOGNIZABLE LINE STANDING ALONE,

I have thought of a few others, but they are merely favorites of mine that
STANDING ALONE may not allow those both Young & Old to place
them......maybe i am wrong:

   Anything Norma Desmond said.......

Fasten your seat belts, we're in for a bumpy night.

She didn't kill him; she executed him.

("Play it, again, Sam" was never the precise line.)

let's have fun with this one----
