No real surprise. Not are these not just studio issue 35mm publicity transparencies that were issued for colour magazine use at the time, but extremely scarce behind the scenes shots with their own film-connected provenance for what is arguably the most popular Cinerama film of all time, and the ONE Cinerama film that has developed an enormous cult following over the years.

I have been watching those auctions carefully. I am a big IAMMMMW fan and was definitely shocked at the ending prices each time. There is something to be said about that kind of item. They are totally unique. It's a captured moment in time and I was fascinated by the images. However, I just couldn't go those prices for 5 slides.
