Subject: LAMP IS HAVING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES For the past few days we have been having technical difficulties throughout LearnAboutMoviePosters.com and the CinemaPosterArchive. Last month, we were informed by our web host, C.I.Host, that they had sold off their accounts to a new hosting service. At the time, this company didn't even have a website. While we did not appreciate being shipped off to another server, we decided to give them a chance since we were assured it would be a smooth migration. What a pile of BS. What they didn't tell us is that this new service uses a LInux operating system. Our sites were built using the Windows operating system. Here's one of the main problems we're experiencing: Linux is case sensitive while Windows is not. What this means is that if the links throughout our sites do not match PERFECTLY, the connections cannot be made. If you make the changes manually in the URL line, you can get the connections. Unfortunately, we have over 200,000 pages of information that would have to be changed. We informed our new host that there is a method to globally change to accept all variations of case. We were told that it was done but it still doesn't work After speaking with the techs at X7 Hosting, we realized that while they are doing their best, this is beyond their ability. We were asked to give them 24 more hours (they've been at this since last week) to get everything straightened out but we're not counting on it. Ed is speaking with different hosting services now so we will probably have to move again. We will try to keep everyone posted on our home page. We hope to be back up and running as soon as possible.
