This is Bruce Hershenson of eMoviePoster.com. I am sending this e-mail to MoPo to alert you to a problem with our auction host, AuctionAnything.com (the site that hosts the actual auctions, but they do not host our auction galleries).
Beginning on Friday April 10th, AuctionAnything.com had intermittent problems with the stability of their site, resulting in several brief outages over the weekend (you may have noticed this if you went to actually place bids during that time, but of course you might not have gone to the site during those exact brief times, and you would not have noticed the problem if you solely looked at our galleries, and did not actually try to place a bid. AuctionAnything.com is working on the problem, and they are devoting all their resources to it, because this is affecting ALL of the auctions they host (over 100 of them). Approximately one hour ago, from 12:30 PM CST to 1:30 PM CST, our AuctionAnything.com site was partly or completely unavailable for most of that time. We have been on the phone with AuctionAnything.com, and they tell us they think they now have identified the problem and will be able to keep our auctions running through their close tonight, but of course, they can make no guarantees. Therefore, we highly recommend you consider placing your final bids earlier than you might otherwise, for there may be brief outages during the times the auctions close tonight. *IN THE EVENT THERE IS A MAJOR OUTAGE DURING THE CLOSING TIMES, WE WILL EXTEND THE AUCTIONS* (perhaps for 24 hours, but we will evaluate this situation when we see if there actually is an major outage, and of course, we are very much hoping there are no problems tonight). Obviously, we very much apologize for the brief outages that have occurred to this point, and apologize in advance if there are any additional outages. We really have a wonderful selection of window cards closing tonight, and we hope that none of our bidders has the slightest problem in placing their bids. I will stay at work all the way from 5:30 PM CST through the auctions' close, and please call me at the below phone number if you have any difficulty placing any bids, and I will do my best to help you. Of course, beyond tonight, we will keep pressing AuctionAnything.com to be certain that they have resolved their problems so that this situation does not come up again (to be fair to AuctionAnything.com, we have used them to host our auctions for exactly one year, and this is the first time they have had any problem at all!).
