Dear Movie Memorabilia Collectors/Dealers:
My name is Carlos Mantica and I am a fellow collector in
Nicaragua, Central America.
I have traded and sold through the MOPO list in the past as well
as directly with individual dealers.
I have a large collection of posters, mainly American 40’5 and
50’s releases, many of them foreign versions (In Spanish),
many of
them classic, vintage releases, as well as other foreign one
sheets.
Because many of the posters were in poor condition when I
acquired
them (They had been stored improperly for many years), they are
dusty and separated at the folds. Their condition varies but in
general, the older ones (40’s and 50’s) are in poor condition. I
decided that instead of posting them individually in forums or
sending many emails with pictures, etc, I would make my own
website where I could at least catalog them and post them for all
to see. My “webmaster” (my 14 year old kid) found a good site in
which to host my page, which turned out to be a auction website
template. However, the posters do not need to be auctioned if you
don’t want to get them that way. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A BID, that
is fine, but YOU DO NOT NEED TO.
I am still in the process of uploading photos, cataloguing and
putting things in order (This includes learning to use the
website
and the auctioning capabilities). So there will be a lot more
posters being posted (pardon the pun) every week, so check back!.
Right now you can find the first batch of about 200 posters. Feel
free to look around, bid, or send me offers via email. I do not
know exactly how much to charge for a poor condition classic, but
Im willing to hear all offers. I can send you hi res photos of
the
item via email once you have expressed interest. I am open to
suggestions, criticism, and feedback. I love this hobby and I
consider it a privilege to engage in it with the real collectors
and hobbyists. I have set an auction date to start on Wednesday,
April 15^th , ending next Sunday.
By the way, if anything is sold, buyer pays for shipping. We have
UPS, FEDEX, DHL and others in Nicaragua, and it should not cost
more than, say $30 to ship to the US.
