i had to something similar happen-- having to have work redone-- when
a poster i had worked on by a restorer (who was recommended to me)
here in the los angeles/ north hollywood area, did an awful, sub par
job. i was horrified and angered, to say the least. this person's
restorer did sloppy, unprofessional work-- and the poster is from the
1920's. luckily, in doing research, i found John Davis at Poster
Mountain, who did an amazing job correcting the half ass work done
initially.
the kicker was -- this first restorer wanted me to bring the poster
back to them, wanting a chance to fix the mistakes... you couldn't
have paid me to lay it in their hands a second time.
