i read "Cast Of Killers" when it first came out .. old hollywood, the
studio system and how the hollywood machine operated is something
that i have always been fascinated with and am pretty well versed in.
i had not heard of this particular story, so found it very
interesting and was also commenting on the great documentary that
this writer produced.

the info was originally gathered by great director King Vidor and
was compiled by kirkpatrick from a Vidor manuscript that was meant
not to be published until all individuals were dead
