Maybe we should have another section along with WTB/FS/FA called BQ and folks
who find posts about British quads exasperating needn't read those. We should
also have DC, so if you are not interested in that format of British poster you
can ignore as well. Similarly Australian daybills can be AD, but as New Zealand
has produced a few daybills locally and not utilised part of the run from
Australia, we can also have NZD.

Scott (who has a lot of spare time, as we all know) can now devise a whole
series of acronyms which we must use so if we don't want to read it, we don't
have to.

I thought the main aim of MOPO was to discuss movie posters from wherevever
they may be. The discussion on the MEAN STREETS quad is extremely informative
in many ways.

Subject: [MOPO] quads and daybills---keeping it simple

all the posts about british quads seemed so lengthy and exasperating.

wouldn't it suffice to say that a BRITISH QUAD is a poster printed in the UK
to advertise british films and films of other countries at theatres in britian
(UK) ?

wouldn't it suffice to say that an AUSTRALIAN DAYBILL is a poster printed in
Australia to advertise Australian films and films of other countries at
theatres in Australia ?

  isn't that simple?

for every film there is always one poster that has the best artwork and mood,
which may not be the country where the film was made. maybe it is the the
quad, maybe the daybill, mabe the USA one sheet........

  just keeping it simple. ugh.
