Thanks for this info! This is something I've always wondered about. One of my favorite flicks, too.

This was a quickly produced poster for Festival use, mainly Telluride. It was at Telluride that Ted Pedas, the owner of Circle Films and Theatres with his brother Jim, and midnight movie guru and co-partner with Ben Barenholtz when they had Cinema 5/Libra Releasing cut a deal with the Coen Brothers to distribute Blood Simple and then produce their next three film. I worked for Circle, my first week coinciding with the theatrical opening in NYC. I then worked on the campaign and release in Washington DC. The ad campaign was changed to the red pumps, boots and smoking gun (24 x 36") for the New York and subsequent roll outs. Circle was big on quotes hence the poster nearly by half dedicated to great reviews as was the print campaigns. freeman fisher ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above.
