Howdy y'all,
Back in the old days (pre-eBay), in the late 70's thru mid 90's, I would buy
all types of collectibles at either auctions or flea markets. Flea markets
featured regular sellers; people who re-sold items (that they bought at earlier
yardsales), farmers who sold their crops, and families who found it easier to
sell at a flea market, rather than a garage sale.
Haggling / bargaining / negotiating ... was part of the fun during the drudgery
of selling, an integral part of any transaction, and it took the edge off
of 'biznezz'.
Like poker players telling lies at a regular Tuesday nite table, it was just
plain fun, (especially if you won).
