Hi! I must say that I am a mere lurker simply because as someone
relatively new to collecting film paper (it’s been about two years), I do
not feel I have much to add to the various conversations. Plus, between
work and going back to school to receive one of the nerdiest of all degrees,
a masters in library sciences, I’m rather short on time!

Also, my collection is all over the place because I purchase posters and
lobby cards based on the artwork, and not the star or title (though I do own
a few pieces for movies I adore, like Lubitsch’s One Hour With You, Godard’s
MadeinUSA and Morrissey’s Women in Revolt), so I really don’t have a field
of expertise within the hobby. As for movies themselves, my favorites tend
to be silent flicks, pre-codes , and 1960’s art house/ New Wave features, none
of which seem to necessarily be huge points of interest for the active
contributors to MOPO. Real quick -- I guess I should clarify – when I say
“my” collection I really mean the collection I have started with my husband.
And believe it or not, we never argue over buying posters – we both
genuinely believe they are one of life’s necessities!

Anyway, despite my lurker status, I love reading the comments left by others
as I’ve found most of them to be quite informative and even sometimes
downright groovy!
