We have scheduled our *Summer Mini/Major Auctions* to start on July 7th
and 9th (just a month from now!). If you have any linenbacked or paper
backed items (or any non-backed *VERY* special items!) that you wish to have
included in this auction, you need to get them to us within the next one
week *AT THE VERY LATEST!* This is because we need time to prepare the items
for auction, so please get your posters for this auction to us no later than
June 18.
As always, we will give *EVERY* buyer in these auctions a great
full-color T-shirt that costs us $9 to $11 at wholesale, and as always we
only charge the actual cost of shipping and have *NO* outrageous buyers
premiums or reserves, and we *DO* honestly describe the condition of every
item and the extent of the restoration it has had, and its pre-restoration
condition!

*Announcing our new SUNDAY afternoon auctions!*
Our brand-new *SUNDAY* afternoon auctions will begin in either two
weeks (on the 21st) or in two weeks (on the 28th). Unlike our Tuesday and
Thursday auctions, these auctions will begin around 3 PM CST every Sunday
(around *FOUR* hours earlier than our Tuesday and Thursday auctions) and
they end the following Sunday beginning at the same time (and we will then
add our next set of Sunday auctions).
We will start these auctions small with around 200 auctions each for
the first few weeks, and then we will look to gradually significantly
increase them until they are the equal of our Tuesday and Thursday auctions.
What will be included in these auctions? The reason we are adding this
third day of auctions is to have a good way to auction the many
"non-standard" items we regularly receive, such as movie magazines,
programs, glass slides, heralds, pressbooks, etc. We also will auction newer
(27" x 40" one-sheets, and stills. Whereas we used to auction such sizes
every few months at best, we will now be able to auction them every month,
and some of these we will be able to auction almost every week!
Best of all, *EVERY* Sunday auction will begin with some "bulk lots"
(we will have five bulk lots each week the first three weeks, but hope to
get that number significantly higher over time). What are in these bulk
lots? They are items that are mostly not of sufficient value for us to
auction individually, so we gather 20 or 40 or 100 of them together, and
sell them as a lot, which often creates wonderful opportunities for dealers,
or for collectors wanting an "insta-collection" at a real bargain price!
Why Sunday afternoon rather than evening? Because the only real
complaint we hear from our European buyers is that our Tuesday and Thursday
auctions end in the middle of the night for them, so these auctions will end
in their "prime time" (and most U.S. bidders don't work on Sunday so they
should be able to be available in the afternoon as well!).
Next week we will announce exactly which date these new
*SUNDAY*afternoon auctions will start. You won't want to miss them!
