I never snuck in as a kid but admit that as a young airman in the Air Force I
would go to the cineplex where they tore your ticket as you came into the
facility and then I would go from one movie to another and make a day of it.
That was when they had a 100 video games in the center so I would play video
games to kill time between shows.

Subject: [MOPO] free admission

ever sneak into the movies (as a kid)?

>>>>>>>if any of the several big Fire Exit Doors (of the OLD MOVIE BUILDINGS)
>>>>>>>opened suddenly, letting the bright, saturday afternoon sun pierce into
>>>>>>>the dark theatre, that meant one kid paid admission---and his 8+++++
>>>>>>>friends got in for free.  so, 50cents divided by 9, hmmmmmmmm.  and the
>>>>>>>matron ladies ran to the doors.  (with no cell phones to lay out the war
>>>>>>>plans for the invasion....)

and remember those matrons/ushers of yesteryear watching US in the children's
section.  at the time they seemed like 100 years old.

remember the CHILDREN'S SECTION?  such seggregation in the Bronx in 1950.
