Yes, group, come on. This is all a bit over the top. I agree with
Richard here.
OK. He's tasteless. Next.
Personally, I don't think the demise of a performer affects the value
or even necessarily more interest in any of his or her
memorabilia at all. I've seen little evidence of that. I can assure
you that if it did, we would be seeing a lot more of
this kind of thing than we do. But tell me: what the time threshold
on this thing? How many days must go by before,
for just an example, Bruce can offer a Michael Jackson poster
tastefully? The man died. It seems to me he was exploited far more in
his life than he could ever be in death.
Obviously, Rod, if that's what his name is, enjoys his role as the
Class Turd. Great.
But all this vilification is just too dramatic for me.

Is that absolutely necessary?
Has he really been doing a such roaring trade in Mexican lobby cards
of the freshly dead on here?
Are people now wrestling with their consciences to resist the
temptation of the Taiwanese Michael Jackson badges?
I don't know, but I have my doubts.

** I was reminded by a dear MoPo pal off-list that Rodxmorgan "is
a shit stain." Well, I guess he's a shit stain I want to keep
reading; he makes the rest of us who collect paper look NORMAL.

as people who've been collecting used postage for almost two
centuries.) -d.
P.S. -- let's not forget there are honest dealers who sell Mexican
or Spanish-language lobby cards; rodxmorgan is offensive not
because of his Mexican lobby cards -- it's because he's determined
to cash in on the dead before their funerals. I don't know if
it's possible to hate a person like that without wanting him to
die, but man oh man, it comes pretty f*****g close to me. -d.

** I think rodxmorgan's presence has been instructive in a way
that's different from those who have in fact -- been banned from
MoPo in past years, e.g., the Joe DePrendas and Chris Cloutier's
of our hobby, the thieves and other garden variety law-breakers.
** Rodxmorgan (if that's his real name) -- is a constant reminder
of the depravity that still exists, e.g., people who haven't
technically broken any laws (that we know of, that is) -- but are
among those who remind me of flesh-eating bacteria, e.g., people
in league with holocaust-deniers, haters of minorities like myself
or gays or women or any law-abiding group, etc. In a parody of
the Movie Poster Channel last year, I once called his show,
"Ambulance Chaser, Mexico City." But he himself is no parody. I
don't know whether he should be banned for political incorrectness
and bad taste -- because his conspiratorial-sounding ravings
against Ed McMahon, Charlton Heston, etc. -- illustrate how
spectacularly low he can go with stuff that reaffirm his status on
the lowest rung of living things, e.g., lesser than the lesser
primates or worse -- all mono-cell life forms.
** I won't say Rodxmorgan should die. But people like him remind
me of skinheads or other excreta whose stench keeps me on my toes
and on alert. They give vultures and other carrion hunters a bad
name. At least vultures aren't profiteers -- and they don't kill
for sport. -d.
