Subject: Re: [MOPO] SELLING MICHAEL JACKSON MEMORABILIA NOW OR LATER?

Ive been thinking about this same thing several nights....... because I
think the answer is this....

Stuff or material things really are a Joke... they just get transformed
into more stuff or turn to dust...

so in that respct all the michael stuff is just what he left behind as
his artform and people can buy and sell that
to hearts content.. Its Not the endall and was manufactured to be sold
in the 1st place.

I think when we respect someone as a person or thier Life and meaning
to us personally we wish to
honor them as friends , parents , kids and fellow humans...

It goes beyond the finance balance sheet, the stuff and material
things....... so when Ive said we should not sell

or abuse the commercial aspect... I really meant we should just respect
the persons contribution as a

living person.... Ive come to see we all have issues in one way or
another and its hard to accept peoples flaws..

But once I take a look inside me and think,, It sure would be good to be
accepted with my flaws.. I see we need to also accept others then as
thats only fair,

So I say sell what you can now.... heck I have a satin Tour Jacket from
1983 we had left over when we sold stuff whats that worth today? It was
like 30.00 in 83 and I have some jackson story books,,
It will be funny to see what this gos for because a week earlier people
wouldnt pay much...

Just underlines the collectable industrys fickle cycles and how things
can affect markets.

adn if you think.. the michael thing has made us not think about the
economy for a few days.

so maybe its all good..... great question Irv.

Hi Everyone,

I have a stupid question that I probably know the answer to.

I have several posters and other signed memorabilia of Michael Jackson.

In my opinion it's bad taste to join the thousands trying to hock
Jackson items on Ebay after his death.

But will these items realize top prices now and then level off? Should I
join everyone else and try to sell whatever I can now to realize higher
prices?

I just feel that it's bad taste to take advantage of someone's demise
and their fan's initial shock to sell now. BUT, if I'll lose a lot of
revenue by waiting then perhaps I'll rethink my standards (lol).

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Irv
