Hi Dave - started in 1977 selling in many movie collector papers and magazines mail order. started advertising in papers like Film collectors world, Big reel , classic Images, Hollywood Studio magazine, Comic Buyers Guide, Goldmine, Antique Trader, Ab Bookman, Rolling Stone, PREMIRE,( we were one of 1st ads in classifieds) Fangoria,Starlog,- Baby Boomer, the Globe, weekly world news, The Robb report, antique Toy world,, American cinematographer, Boxoffice,, Motion picture and film directory, Decor magazine plus many many More! we also subscrided to these and most industry trade papers and magazines.. I saved years worth and when I moved sold them , gave away, or took to dump..... ( I filled a Ranger pick-up 2 -times of my archives... I still have some as I treasured them.. Plus I collected old catalogs for referance like auction catalogs and books on collections in almost all the cossover collectables as Movie offer such a wide variety of collections liek props and soundtracks and gear and films Specializing a wide variety of periodicals...many movie magazine and then also all the others like Life, Time, newsweek, Colliers, Sat e Post, and you name it... We have bought the entire periodical Librarys of Public librarys when they would be reducing... at times 100,000 pieces and then also private collections .. Same with poster , Films, and gear, and Books , Stills, etc.... advertiseing On Televison.. locally On Like Carson and Letterman and on Morning news and other mediums like Radio and local print. Catalogs- and on product labels and packaging. If you have any Paramount VHS videos of Star Trek Youll see our products as we made stuff for Paramounts Catalog, Disney, and Warner Bros. catalogs. The early days had lots of info to sort through... however there were tons of things in warehouses that where old and in storage years....... Now its just moved into more storage...probably in better condition Now that people are downsizing its reappearing again.. I remember Veto Stasinaitis of Chicago teeling me there were no places to advertise films in the 60s so he started in Popular photography mag..
