Of course I was joking..  
Even is such a remake were contemplated, Bay would be the last director 
involved.  The explosions couldn't be wild enough for him!!  And no metal men. 
 
All these would-bes need to be tied to chairs and FORCED to watch the 
staggering battle sequences in Sergei Bonderchuk's magnificent 60s four-film 
version of "War and Peace." As many as 20,000 REAL people.  Mind-boggling 
cinematics!!
 
Michael Bay should be the recipient of the first Annual "Sam Katzman/Spencer G. 
Bennett Award" for big-budget cheesy film-making!!

All that money wasted (well, maybe not).  I'll bet you that today's kids would 
be no different from us-- watching the Rocket Man serials as-is, in b&w, cheesy
