Of course I was joking.. Even is such a remake were contemplated, Bay would be the last director involved. The explosions couldn't be wild enough for him!! And no metal men. All these would-bes need to be tied to chairs and FORCED to watch the staggering battle sequences in Sergei Bonderchuk's magnificent 60s four-film version of "War and Peace." As many as 20,000 REAL people. Mind-boggling cinematics!! Michael Bay should be the recipient of the first Annual "Sam Katzman/Spencer G. Bennett Award" for big-budget cheesy film-making!! In case anyone missed it, here's the link to the "best" review of Transformers 2, Electric Boogaloo. http://www.thedigitalbits.com/jahnke/jet063009.html All that money wasted (well, maybe not). I'll bet you that today's kids would be no different from us-- watching the Rocket Man serials as-is, in b&w, cheesy "effects" and all. Joe
