hey brek, i don't know about the 'salesman sample' issue, but these WCs probably went in a bidding war between saul bass collectors. bass' design for this movie only ran in trade ads and one pretty rare style of the 1-sh. i've never seen these bass cinerama WCs before and, without the fold creases and shinyness of the 1-sh poster, they look like they display the bass design really quite well. even with all the additional bumpf. hmmm, do people really want the word 'Cinerama' cluttering up their nice posters?*neil * yes, this is a joke.
