Absolutely. There may be one of two exceptions where I would buy the poster if the character art did not match up fairly well with the film, but I can't think of any just now. On the other hand, when it comes to all those great monster and sf films from the 1950's, you usually don't have any choice -- the art often has little or nothing to do with the actual content of the film! And, of course, most often the posters were far better visual art than the film itself was.

Sometimes i won't try and obtain a poster on a title i like if i feel the depiction of the actor on the poster is not in keeping with the film...wonder if others make similar collecting decisions?...best Alan
