When I first met her, she was a lingerie model in a bar I was playing
at. I was 38, she was 19. It was not a marriage of the minds.
Speaking of depressing things from my past....I re-watched "Sunset
Boulevard" with my wife last night. (She had never seen it.) What a
great, great film. Seeing it with almost sixty years of life experience
behind me made poor Norma seem a lot less wacky to me. I first saw it
when I was 10, it floored me then, and it has not lost one iota of its
power. I told my wife I envied her; she was going to experience this
film for the first time. She grew in the Hollywood hills, and saw those
decaying mansions with their strange inhabitants in the flesh.. (She
loved the film.)
I really need to get some paper from this title in my collection
...sigh.....
