Hi Michael,
Not everyone uses dirty, smelly, stained or greased packaging materials. It is
actually foolish to do so.
We sometimes recycle packaging materials, but only if they are in a like-new
state and are in no way able to damage the product.
The main difference is that we never charge our customers for new or recycled
packaging materials and "handling". We only charge the actual shipping cost.
But I understand what you mean, I've also had many bad experiences when it
comes down to shipping, packing etc.
Recently someone shipped me a poster in a tube of which he stapled the end caps
to secure them.
The staples however did not bend and because of shifting one side of the poster
looked like it was nibbled on by rats.
But on the other hand I was able to buy some very nice posters from Bruce last
night, so I'm still happy.
Ron

ever feel insulted when your flat poster or lobby card arrives in dirty,
food-stained or grease-stained, old, bent cardboard?

especially with sellers charging high shipping costs...........

i just saw this of a (non-poster) listing:
All items are packaged in recycled materials where possible.

as i said yesterday in discussions about packaging material costs.......soon
you will see your 250 insert arrive with staples at the edges, a couple of
stamps at the top, and marked, "FRAGILE DO NOT BEND"
