What is the responsibility of those auction houses or dealers who sold
Universal fakes towards their customers?

WHAT A RHETOTICAL QUESTION, BRUCE?
?
YOU KNOW THE ANSWER.
?
The auction house has the same responsibility of delivering an original poster,
if that is what?was?advertised.??
?
If a deli sold you poisoned meat, they cannot shift the responsibility
to?wholesaler that gave it to them.? BOTH are liable.
?
The auction houses hold themselves out as EXPERTS.? They love to boast
the?experience of their staff.? ??Customers rely on that expertise.? They
cannot say, DUH, WE DIDN'T KNOW.? Even if the auction house was fooled and say
they are "innocent", it is long held that between 2 innocent people, he who
could have most have avoided the loss is liable.?? AUCTION HOUSES AINT NO
INNOCENT BYSTANDERS......their commissions (at BOTH) ends impose, their
announced "expertise", and other factors hold them lianle.
?
Unfortunately, the question become....can you hold the auction house liable in
perpetuity or should the customer be barred from recovery after several years??
Sadly, you buy a great poster, frame it immediately, and may not seek to sell
if for ten year.....then your face turns white.
