Grey, et al, I tend to be an optimist and have always seen a glass as half-full, rather than half-empty. My dealings with Jaime have always been positive and I have found him to run his business with great integrity. We all make mistakes or bad choices in our lives (I've certainly made mine), but I'd like to hear Jaime's side of this story before I turn my back to him. Perhaps this was a premeditated bad choice on his part or perhaps it was an innocent mistake. Hopefully, we'll find out soon and Jaime won't be to blame. Todd and Rich I do tend to support Todd's opinion here. I've done a good bit of business with Jaime over the years and I have never known him to be previously questionable in his business practices nor have I ever known him to be mean spirited nor speak unkindly of his customers or competitors. What does that prove? Perhaps nothing but says a lot about ones character. He has always seemed to be a kind, hard working craftsman and often over-trusting individual, in my discussions with him. We can perhaps never know all of the why's, what's and where's, but at this point I tend to believe he was grievously mislead, if indeed these accusations prove to be true. I've been thinking more about this and it just doesn't add up if Kerry says "I just want to have some to display and my friends too" I don't buy it. if that's all he wants, he can buy all the repros he wants on fleaBay (and he has the past month too) but once he's asked for restoration so they look real.. nah.. I don't buy it the purpose of the restoration can only be for one reason - to defraud.. I've known Jaime for over 15 years and anyone that knows Jaime knows that he is one of the nicest, laid back people you could meet. Jaime is also one, who maybe to his own fault, could be a little gullible, but minds his own business and does not ask questions. We don't know what 'line' he was given when he was asked to do whatever he may have done. Personally, I feel Jaime had way too much to lose to knowingly participate in this scam. Every time I talked with him, he was always backed up with work and it would take a while for me to get my pieces done. His restoration business was doing good. I don't believe he received any profits or a percentage of the sale of the fake items. I believe he was paid only for the work he did. Of course, I could be wrong, but I really don't think so.
