Rumor, gossip and third hand reporting dont help any situation.
I would think he has been asked to be quiet while it all gets sorted.

I suggested to Todd last night that if Jaime is an innocent dupe,
then he should come out and say so and co-operate with the
authorities. He has not done the first and I understand has refused
the second (may just be a rumor)
silence on the issue only continues to damage his reputation and if
he is not helping the authorities, then the silence speaks volumes.
I met Jaime a couple times. He struck me as a genuinely nice guy.
