Rumor, gossip and third hand reporting dont help any situation.

I would think he has been asked to be quiet while it all gets sorted.

well there is an answer to this:

whenever there is a high profile case, the attorney usually issues a statement on his client's behalf

I suggested to Todd last night that if Jaime is an innocent dupe, then he should come out and say so and co-operate with the authorities. He has not done the first and I understand has refused the second (may just be a rumor)

silence on the issue only continues to damage his reputation and if he is not helping the authorities, then the silence speaks volumes.

I met Jaime a couple times. He struck me as a genuinely nice guy. If he's an innocent dupe.. he alot of 'splaining to do

Are you naive? If he's involved in this lawsuit and has a lawyer who is worth even a quarter of his fee, I'm sure he's been told not to say anything about the situation.

Subject: [MOPO] Jaime

Has anyone here that is friends with Jaime asked him about this situation or made him aware or the discussions here?

It would seem strange that we are hearing from other West Coast restorers giving assurances that they had nothing to do with any of this, and yet the person who should be front and center proclaiming his innocence has yet to be heard from.
